ITCHY, GRITTY DRY EYES?

Don't put up with dry eyes anymore, contact us and book an appointment with one of our clinicians in our dry eye clinic for an assessment.

Dry eye disease or MGD (Meibomian Gland Dysfunction) is a common condition that occurs when your eyes do not receive adequate lubrication.

This can be for many reasons, for example, dry eyes may occur if you don't produce enough tears or if you produce poor-quality tears.

This tear instability leads to inflammation and damage of the eye's surface.

Dry eyes feel uncomfortable. If you have dry eyes, your eyes may sting or burn. You may experience dry eyes in certain situations, such as on an airplane, in an air-conditioned room, whilst riding a bike or after looking at a computer screen for a few hours.

Some treatments for dry eyes may make you more comfortable. These treatments can include lifestyle changes and eyedrops or direct intervention using IPL treatment or a Meibo-Mask.

With eyedrops, Omega Oil and heat masks you are likely need to take these measures indefinitely to control the symptoms of dry eyes whereas IPL treatment and Meibo-Mask treatments may be a more permanent solution.

So what should i do?

The first step is to book in with one of our clinicians who will carry out a comprehensive tear assessment and can advise you on the best course of action once we have your results.
